BARQ DEV LLC ("GiftUnlock," "we," or "us") provides GiftUnlock for Shopify stores. This policy explains what information the app handles and how it is used.
Information the app handles
About the store. The store's Shopify domain and name, the app's settings, installation status, and the Shopify access credentials the app needs to work. Access credentials are stored encrypted.
About orders. For each order placed while the app is installed, the app stores only the order's Shopify ID, its total amount, and two yes/no flags recording whether the app's free gift and its "buy more, save more" discount were applied. It uses these to show the merchant aggregate results (gift orders and sales) and to apply the free plan's monthly limit. The app does not read or store shopper names, email addresses, phone numbers, shipping or billing addresses, individual line items, or payment details.
About products. The app reads product and variant details (title, price, availability, images) for the gift and the products chosen for an offer, to show them to the merchant and to warn when one becomes unavailable.
About how the app is used. To improve GiftUnlock, we record a small set of usage events for each store, such as installing or uninstalling the app, which offer settings are turned on, how many orders used an offer, and which pages of the app were opened. A store is identified only by its Shopify domain. These events never include shopper information, product details, offer text, or the merchant's name or email. They are processed by PostHog (a product analytics service, US region).
How information is used
We use this information only to run GiftUnlock for the store that installed it, to provide support, and to answer Shopify privacy requests. Information from one store is never used for another store. We do not sell shopper information and do not use it for advertising.
Sharing
Shopify provides the store platform. The app and its database run on a server that we operate. These providers process information only as needed to provide their services, and information may be processed in the countries where they operate. We do not share shopper information with anyone else.
Retention and deletion
Copies of incoming Shopify notifications are deleted after 30 days. Shopify's customer and store privacy requests trigger deletion of the matching data. Encrypted backups are kept for 14 days, so deleted data leaves the backups within 14 days. When a store uninstalls GiftUnlock, its data is deleted after Shopify's store deletion request arrives.
Your choices and contact
Merchants can uninstall the app at any time. Shoppers can contact the store they bought from, or contact us. For questions or privacy requests about GiftUnlock, email hammad@foundvia.site.

We may update this policy when the app's data practices change. The effective date above shows when this version was published.
